Bayern Munich (Pep Guardiola) Passing

Simple combination passing activity where the players pass the ball around the grid. Can be used as an extended warm up or as part of a session.
Focuses on: First touch, Passing (simple ground passes, first time passes, lay-offs, reverse passes), Movement & Communication.
Set-up:
Start with with black cones on the left and right of the diagram. Place these cones 20 yards apart. Place the black cone at the top of the diagram 10 yards perpendicular from the central point of these cones. Place the fourth black cone located at the bottom right of the diagram 15 yards vertically & 10 yards horizontally from the black cone on the right of the diagram. Next place white cones or poles 1 yard from the black cones as shown above.
Players start as shown above. Two players per cone & then the remainder of the players start at the first cones with the balls.
Progressions:
Variation 1: Simple one-two combinations
Variation 2: One-two combination into reverse pass
Variation 3: One-two into either One two or Reverse Pass (Player Decision)
Coaching Points:
Movement - Prior to receiving passes, can you move away from the cone? Should the movement be slow or quick & sharp?
Angle & Weight of Pass - Are you playing to their correct foot? Is the weight of pass right? Can they play first time?
Reverse Pass - Is the pass deceiving? Are you selling the fake?
